The Other Side Of The Hill

For a weekend, One Planet Adventure at Coed Llandegla becomes the base for MTBMeetup. If you ride the Red Trail you reach Snowdon View, a classic place to take stock and drink in the spectacular view across Wales to the Snowdonia range beyond. Your eye is drawn, beyond the forest, a question is nagging. What lies on the other side of the hill?

The cornerstone, the reason for MTBMeetup is riding bikes and North Wales is one of the best places in the UK to find amazing bike parks but also natural trails formed from centuries old pack-horse routes and ancient walkways trod by druids.

To help riders explore beyond the trail centre, MTBMeetup teamed up with Ride North Wales to create a 42km route which rewards 1250m with epic views and flowing descents into wooded valleys.

You can view and download the route here:

You can read here (https://transalpuk.wordpress.com/2016/04/18/off-piste-in-wales/) about the day that our MTBMeetup founder and guru met his match on this ride, and the story of dogged determination to map the trail for you to follow…
